Amit S. RaiAmit S. Rai is Senior Lecturer in New Media and Communication at the School of Business and Management, Queen Mary, University of London. His study of new media in India is titled Untimely Bollywood: Globalization and India's New Media Assemblage (Duke University Press, 2009). He is also the author of Rule of Sympathy: Sentiment, Race and Power, 1750-1850 (Palgrave Macmillan, 2002). Gita Chadha

Gita Chadha is a Mumbai-based sociologist. She has taught at various places and has published widely in reputed journals. She has co-edited a book called Zero Point Bombay: In and Around Horniman Circle (Roli Books, 2008). She is currently working on an edited volume on Gender and Science in India. Her areas of interest are science studies, women’s studies, cultural studies and post-colonial studies. She has curated interdisciplinary projects with women artists and poets. She is currently the Associate Project Director of the Avabai Women’s Archives at the Research Centre for Women’s Studies, SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai.


Pranamita Borgohain

Pranamita Borgohain has completed her Master’s in Art History from the School of Arts and Aesthetics, JNU, New Delhi. Her area of research is the contemporary art of Assam. She has curated
shows, conducted workshops for young artists and has lectured at the Lalit Kala Akademi. She was one of the top five finalists for the Shrine Empire Gallery’s Art Scribes Award 2011. She is currently a Deputy Curator at the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi.

 


Preeti Goel Sanghi

Preeti Goel Sanghi is an architect with experience in design, journalism, teaching, research, planning and development. She has a Master’s in Sustainable Development from Staffordshire University, UK, and has worked in the development sector for over 15 years. She was associated with the journal Architecture+Design; was Director Projects at the Urban Design Research Institute (UDRI); was consultant to the Vishakhapatnam Municipal Corporation and the NGO Architecture & Development. She teaches at the Academy of Architecture, Mumbai. She also works with the corporate social responsibility arm of the JSW group of companies and is a partner in SPIN (Sustainable Planning Initiatives) Consultancy Services for urban and regional planning.
