I have great admiration for the Teach for India movement led by the unassuming but strong Shaheen Mistry. I got goosebumps when I read her message for the fresh Teach for India Fellows: "We believe that every child has immense potential and that it is only our belief and skill in enabling them to get there that limits the realization of this potential...Today, they live in dense urban slum areas, typically in single-room shanties shared by five or more people. They live in unacceptable physical conditions - no bathroom, no clean water, no space to play. They live in unacceptable social conditions - high level of abuse, no privacy and a prevailing mindset that nothing is going to change..." Teach For India was established in 2007, when a group of individuals working to reform education in India came together to seek an innovative solution to ending educational inequity.

What Shaheen and her team are doing is amazing! She feels that the Teach for India Fellows will inspire a future generation of Indians. She believes with deep conviction that fair educational opportunities must be made available to one and all.

Yes, there IS no limit to our imagination!
