India Art fair 2019 (IAF) will be held from the 31st of January to the 3rd of February, in partnership with BMW Group India. While retaining its focus on South Asian art, IAF will also feature blue chip international galleries like neugerriemschneider and David Zwirner. All in all, it will present 75 exhibitors from 24 Indian and international cities.
This year’s Focus section, which showcases solo presentations curated by participating galleries or institutions, will feature seven artists. The fair will also present 11 Art Projects, ranging from large-scale interactive installations, to sculptures and video work. The artists include Manisha Gera Baswani and Madhusudhanan. This year JSW is supporting the Performance Art Program, which will feature performances across the site by artists like Mithu Sen, Yasmin Jahan Nupur and Sahej Rahal. Forum will host talks by artists Idris Khan, Gulammohammed Sheikh and Jitish Kallat. Other highlights are collateral shows by Arpita Singh ( KNMA), Pushpamala N (Nature Morte) and Sheila Makhijani ( Talwar Gallery).
